Owner operators Francisco Perez and Chef Jose Marquez have transformed Piacere Mio into a restaurant that feels like a home. Unlike magicians, their secrets are visible to anyone who visits. There are no tricks up their sleeves, just hearts of gold with a splash of brandy tomato sauce and home-made coconut limoncello.

Piacere Mio serves an authentic Italian cuisine inspired by the many regions of Italy with a focus on Sicilian dishes infused with chef Jose’s creative vision.

Chef Jose started his ground up education in the kitchen in Mexico and in 1997 as a true student of the craft moved his way through the kitchen from dishwasher to dining room as a beloved Chef. His passion, creativity and kindness is always on display as he put his guest first (after all its his pleasure).

Francisco has been in the restaurant industry since he came to the US in 1998. After managing many well-known and established Chicago restaurants his dream was to one day own his own place.  What started off as a hobby in the restaurant industry became a passion for providing memorable experiences around great food.

Israel Hernandez has over 20 years of experience in managing restaurants like Gibsons. He is also part owner of Piacere Mio Restaurant.

Locals and regulars consider Piacere Mio the best Italian restaurant in the area. They love the home-made pastas, bread, focaccia and deserts.
